Amazon’s Fire TV Stick 4K Max has hit a new low price ahead of Prime Day

We've officially moved the calendar to October, which means spooky season is in full swing. This also means we're still a week away from Prime Big Deal Days, which starts on October 8th. There were already plenty of early Prime Day deals to consider, but now we're seeing deep discounts on Amazon's stick-style streaming devices. At the moment, for example, the latest Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K is available at Amazon, Best Buy and Target for just $24.99 ($25 off) while being faster Fire TV Stick 4K Max is down to $34.99 ($25 off) at Amazon, Best Buy and Target.

If you have an extra $10 left in your budget, we recommend upgrading to the Fire TV Stick 4K Max. Thanks to an improved processor and support for Wi-Fi 6E, which provides enough bandwidth for 4K streaming, it's about a lot faster than the basic model. It also has twice as much storage as the base model (16GB versus 8GB) and comes with a slightly more helpful Alexa voice remote that adds a few new features, including a handy Find My Remote function and a button which you can quickly view current content.

However, the Max doesn't offer many other advantages over the standard Fire TV Stick 4K. Both support Dolby Vision (in addition to HDR10 and HDR10 Plus) and Dolby Atmos with the same compatible apps. The latter parity didn't always apply to the previous generation models, but you can enjoy a series of spooky movie nights with the best possible viewing experience no matter which of the 2023 models you choose.
