Android notifications might finally sync across devices soon

Google seems to be working on a way to finally sync notifications across all devices in its ecosystem, so Android Authority'by Mishaal Rahman, who discovered code references to a new “Cross-device sync” option in the Android 15 beta.

The snippet appears to be in the Notifications section of Settings, nestled between “sensitive notifications” and a new “Notification Cooldown” option he spotted last week. As Rahman notes, there's currently no feature to sync Android notifications, so if you dismiss a notification on your Android tablet, the same notification will still greet you later on your phone. I'm sure this would be a welcome change for most.

This string of code from the Android 15 beta appears to indicate a new cross-device syncing feature.

The sync code also resides under an Android-specific controller, suggesting the feature would be a little treat for the entire Android ecosystem and not just Pixel devices, Rahman writes. But there doesn't seem to be any accompanying description to confirm that, so there's still a chance it's a Pixel exclusive.
