Bose’s new SoundLink Home is one of its best-looking wireless speakers

Bose has announced a new addition to its long-running SoundLink line of wireless speakers. Most Bose speakers feature a colorful and durable design that can easily withstand sand and water on an afternoon at the beach. However, the new $219 SoundLink Home uses materials like anodized aluminum and a fabric speaker cover for a more premium look that complements the home.

Battery life is up to nine hours after a four-hour charge using the speaker's USB-C port, which doubles as an audio input for connecting to sources such as laptops via a cable. The SoundLink Home supports Bluetooth 5.3 with a wireless range of approximately 9 meters and can be paired with other speakers in Bose's SoundLink series for stereo sound. However, it lacks Wi-Fi, which means that unlike other Bose speakers, there is no AirPlay support.

The Bose SoundLink Home is available in cool gray or light silver color options.

Although the SoundLink Home is designed for indoor use, you may want to avoid using it in the kitchen as it is not dust or water resistant. It has a microphone so you can use it as a speakerphone or to interact with a smart assistant on a connected device.
