Google is adding a new daily calendar view for Workspace users in newly opened Chrome tabs, with easy access to schedules and video calls. When you sign in with your organization's account, the first thing you'll see is your appointments and meetings, as well as files stored in Google Drive.
Regular Chrome users were already able to set up website shortcuts themselves. For example, they could program a user to type in “red” to launch a website search for Reddit. Now a group policy can be applied to departments and automatically assign the most useful shortcuts to employees without them having to figure them out themselves.
IT teams will also get more granular management controls, including profile-level security policies and managed browsing designed to keep personal and work data separate in BYOD environments. On the end-user side, there will be a new UI when logging into their work accounts that will make it clearer to users what data the company has access to on the device and help keep private bookmarks, extensions and browsing data in separate profiles.
