Instagram’s ‘social library’ could keep track of that funny video someone sent you

According to an image shared by developer and leaker Alessandro Paluzzi, Instagram is apparently working on a new “Social Library” section in the app where you can easily access content shared in chat threads, your collections, and posts you've liked.

Judging by the look of Paluzzi's screenshot, the section contains posts, Reels, and other media that you've shared or received in chat threads, as well as content you've liked or saved. A magnifying glass in the corner of the screenshot indicates that this content is also searchable, which could make it much easier to quickly find a Reel or post you're looking for.

It is not clear when Meta will make this feature available to the public. The company did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Paluzzi also recently discovered that Instagram could allow you to share your Instagram comments as posts in threads.
