Give the Rabbit R1 a gift. Only 5,000 of the 100,000 buyers of the orange AI device are still using it daily five months after its launch. This is what Rabbit founder Jesse Lyu says, directly from the mouth of Fast Company and explained that the device had to be brought to market before it was ready to get ahead of the big technology companies.
Rabbit's “Large Action Model” update, which will do everything for you and supposedly allow it to log into websites and, on request, do things like order plane tickets or dinner for you, is apparently coming out on October 1. Will it inspire people to dust off their Rabbit R1s and carry another thing in their pockets just for the sake of AI? Given that Apple and Google both promise local AI that knows what's on your screen and can do things for you across multiple apps… well, that seems unlikely.
