Shrunken Mac Minis and a new iPad Mini might come in November

Apple plans to announce in late October that new Macs, reportedly including a Mac Mini about the size of an Apple TV, will be available in stores starting November 1st. This is according to Bloombergis Mark Gurman, who also writes in his Turn on Newsletter today that the iPad Mini is getting a long-overdue update – the first since 2021.

The Mac Mini may be the most exciting update, considering it's rumored to have a significant physical overhaul that comes with a new M4 chip. Despite the shrunken size, the M4 Pro version may have a healthy distribution of connectivity (although without USB-A ports).

Additionally, Gurman says Apple will launch M4-equipped MacBook Airs, a redesigned iPhone SE, updated iPad Airs (and accompanying Magic Keyboards), and a new AirTag in the first half of 2025. Apple could also release updated versions of the Mac Studio and Mac Pro that are not included in the M3 upgrade cycle in the middle and second half of next year, respectively.
