Threads is giving you more time to edit your posts

You now have 15 minutes to edit your post in threads, an increase from the previous five-minute limit. If you have Fediverse sharing enabled, this means you will have to wait 15 minutes for your post to appear on Mastodon and other platforms.

Additionally, Threads now lets you see who follows you and likes your posts from other Fediverse servers like Mastodon. This should make it much easier to keep track of all new followers and engagement, regardless of the platform they interact with you on.

Along with these changes, Threads is adding more functionality to its API, which was released in June to developers building third-party integrations and apps. When users create posts via the API, threads can now automatically share them with the broader Fediverse. It also makes it easier to attach links to posts, introduces real-time notifications for replies, and allows users to add alt text to images or videos.
