Universal's resort in Florida will open new worlds based around franchises such as Harry Potter and Super Mario on May 22, 2025. The announcement sets a date for the new park expansion called “Epic Universe,” which consists of four new worlds connected via a central hotel and shopping area called Celestial Park.
The range includes Super Nintendo World, the first to open on the East Coast of the US after previous versions debuted in California and Japan. Some early glimpses show that it has all the themes you'd expect from an immersive Mushroom Kingdom experience – right down to entering the world through a giant green pipe – and is reportedly larger than the previous two parks. Among the most anticipated new additions is a third Harry Potter park, designed to resemble the Ministry of Magic from the original films and elements from more recent films Fantastic beasts Spin off.
Universal says all five areas of the new Epic Universe park (including Celestial Park) will be available on opening day next spring. Tickets go on sale October 22nd and you can check out all of the previously announced experiences and rides on Universal's online hub.
