It will arrive The November in the same primary configurations that Valve sells elsewhere: a 256GB configuration of the original LCD model, or 512GB and 1TB versions of the newer OLED model, which also come with longer battery life, a better screen and more are equipped. They cost AUD 649, AUD 899 and AUD 1,049 respectively.
(While the OLED model costs $250 AUD more than the original, it has so many key changes that I would personally recommend it over the LCD version to anyone who can afford it.)
Although even the OLED model will be a full year old when it arrives in Australia, there is currently no sign that Valve will release a faster, better version any time soon – and no handheld running Windows can currently compete with it when it does about portable usability. use, although some have a lead in performance and the Asus ROG Ally X can also beat it in AAA gaming battery life.
However, Valve could also apply SteamOS to competing handhelds like the Asus ROG Ally has its wrinkles).
If you're at PAX Australia in Melbourne, you can check out the Steam Deck at Valve's booth today.
