You must watch this amazing presentation about a bespoke McDonald’s mural

I know there's a lot to do on the internet, but you should really stop what you're doing and watch this 19 minute talk about a custom mural that was once featured in a McDonald's.

Cabel Sasser's talk on Panic at XOXO Fest 2024 was full of silliness and deep dives down unexpected rabbit holes. (I wouldn't expect anything less from the founder of Panic, the company behind quirky things like the Playdate handheld and… Goose game without a title.) Much of the presentation revolves around the little-known artist behind the painting, the late Wes Cook, who also created some incredible designs that also exist in real theme parks, and it's fascinating to learn so much about Cook. And the end of the speech is just fantastic.

Every minute of the speech is worth it; Seriously, take the time to watch this so you can see for yourself what's happening.

Oh, and here's a picture of the mural in case you're curious.

It's that good!
